Venue Description

Compton Verney is an independent national art gallery and ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped park located nine miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. It is a registered charity, established in 1993 with the aim of providing an inspiring and entertaining cultural day out for visitors of all ages and backgrounds – whether to see the highly-acclaimed art exhibitions, to take part in wide-ranging activities, or to enjoy the diverse features of the extensive 'Capability' Brown historic landscape.

Accessibility

All the floors of the gallery are accessible by wheelchair. There is ramped entrance and lifts to all floors.

Accredited Museum, Trip Advisor Hall of Fame having held a certificate of Excellence for the past 5 years, Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme accredited since 2005, long listed for Telegraph Family Friendly Award 2013, winner of Enjoy England visitor attraction of the year 2006.

There are accessible toilets on all floors of the gallery.

Staff

All of the front of house staff have completed disability awareness training as part of their induction and are on hand to help. Some of them have also been trained as audio-described interpreters. The gallery staff are always on hand to help and enable you to discover more about the works of art on display. Please DO ask them if you want to know more. There are free daily talks and tours on both our six permanent collections of art and our temporary exhibition. You can find out about which ones are available and book yourself on them when you arrive at the Ticket Desk.
