Chesterfield Museum tells the story of the town from Roman times to the present day. There are a series of temporary exhibitions and events throughout the year. Chesterfield Museum is currently closed as part of a multi-million-pound renovation and reimagining project to Stephenson Memorial Hall. There is a ramp to the front door and adequate wheelchair access throughout the venue. There is a stair lift for those in a wheelchair to the first floor art gallery.
