Venue Description

We are a theatre and community building in East Grinstead, West Sussex, UK. We are fully inclusive and have good disabled access with a disabled toilet, bar and our theatre all fully accessible on one level. We also have a cafe and large garden which are fully accessible. Dogs are welcome .

Accessibility

We have a flat access path and push button electric door for easy access to the venue. The venue is all on one level including the accessible toilet, garden, cafe, bar and theatre.

Accessible Performances

We offer relaxed and quiet performances for those with sensory difficulties where the lights are left on and we remove loud noises from the show. This attending are free to come and go as they please and we have a breakout room they can use if they need a time out. We also offer a free monthly film screening for those living with dementia and their carers. Again this is a relaxed performance. We ask you to ring to book accessible tickets so we are aware of any special requirements in advance. This means that when you arrive we can make sure you have everything you need and can make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Toilets

The accessible toilet is step free and has a wide door opening for wheelchairs. There are grab rails and an emergency cord.

Staff

Our staff are very friendly and caring and we always go out of our way to make the venue inclusive for all. We are trained Dementia friends and we have a high level of first aid and mental health first aid training amongst our staff.

We have a large flat garden which has facilities for dogs. We have a bin and dog waste bags available in the garden.

We have water bowls for dogs and also offer doggy ice cream which is free for registered service dogs.
