Overview
This fun filled day was organised by Scottish Disability Sport and the staff at Castle Semple Visitors centre as a chance for disabled people to try a variety of different sports. including sailing, canoeing and power boating. There are also land based activities such as Hand Cycling All in all great fun!
Transport & Parking
There are accessible parking spaces in front of the visitors centre. Unfortunately the local train station is not accessible, so access by public transport is limited, but Scotrail will happily supply a taxi from the nearest accessible train station.
Access
There is a ramped entrance to go into the visitors centre. The cafe area is quite small, but there is enough room to navigate through the tables and staff are always happy to help to move furniture.
Toilets
There are disabled toilets both inside and outside the centre, both toilets are quite small but both have handrails and staff are always happy to help to show you the way. The toilets do get quite busy in the summer time.
Staff
The staff are always very willing to help and keen for everyone to take part in activities, no matter what your disability.
