Venue Description

Located in rural south west Scotland, CAMPLE LINE is an independent arts organisation dedicated to presenting contemporary art and film of international scope for our local communities and beyond.

Accessibility

Our building, including our first floor space, is fully accessible to people using wheelchairs. We have an external, uncovered lift for anyone requiring assistance in accessing our first floor space. Please note that our toilet facilities are not wheelchair accessible, please be in touch if you require further information about this before you visit us. Our exhibition literature is available in large font format, and any film material supporting our exhibitions has subtitles for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing. IN-HOUSE SCREENINGS & EVENTS We provide Subtitles for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing for all of our in-house screenings as standard For ticketed events and screenings, anyone who needs to bring along a helper to assist them in any way, will receive a complimentary ticket We also accept the CEA Card (Cinema Exhibitors’ Association Card). This is a national card that can be used to verify that the holder is entitled to one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema Our screening space can accommodate 2 wheelchair users – advance booking is recommended. ONLINE SCREENINGS AND EVENTS We provide Subtitles for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing for all of our online screenings SDH captions can be toggled on via the buttons in the lower right-hand corner of the screen when viewing the film The subtitle formatting can also be customised relative to your preferences (font, size, colour, etc) We live-caption our online post-screening discussions, and can also provide a transcript on request after the live event For our online workshops, we can arrange live-captioning or BSL interpretation by request. Please be in touch at least 10 days in advance if you’d like to request this, to allow time for booking a captioner/interpreter Many of our online and in-person workshops are free to attend, though you will generally need to reserve a ticket For paid events and screenings we operate a sliding scale ticket system, meaning that you can decide what to pay according to your means. Single tickets are usually priced from £0 – £5. More information and guidance on selecting a ticket price can be found on our website.
