Venue Description

Caalm Camp is set in rural Dorset on a family run farm. The farm was a dairy farm run by the same family for generations and recently the family have converted a barn Old stable into a two bedroom cottage and the a adjacent field is now a yurt site. The site has six accessible yurts all having their own outdoor furniture and private key lockable wet-room. The yurt has got two additional z-beds which are available.

Accessibility

The yurts are on one level with ramped access on request. The doors to yurts are traditionally small, these ones being 26.5inches in width and 52inches in height . The interior of the yurts are all similar with a carpeted floor a double bed and two single day beds, the beds have all got space under to accommodate a hoist. There is room to use a profiling bed which may be hired in. A commode shower chair is available to hire from Caalm Camp. There is ample wheelchair turning space throughout the yurt and plenty of access to either side of the double bed.

Toilets

The wet rooms are level with wheel chair access to a shower. The toilet is a convention type allowing a commode chair to fit over. The wash basin is of a standard height fit in a vanity unit. The layout of the wet rooms may be view on the video of our homepage.

We are in the countryside and have large areas for dogs to exercise. All other dog equipment and their requirements would need to be brought by the guest.
