Venue Description

At Burnbrae, we have three one bedroom, spacious self catering holiday cottages. The cottages are all on one level including access from the large, private car park. The private, south facing conservatory is located adjacent to the dining area of the spacious living room. The cottage has magnificent views across the secluded garden, Eden Water, the Tweed valley to the Cheviot hills and the border between Scotland and England. The cottages have central heating throughout and a wood-burning stove in the living room, (we provide our home grown wood). There is plenty of hot water provided by our biomass boiler. Cars can approach close to the main entrance of each cottage for loading and unloading. There is direct level access to the conservatory from the dining area of each cottage. Each cottage is ideal for two people. Additionally Begrum has a 4ft wide sofa bed in the living room and Thairn can have a slide away bed in either the living room or the bedroom. The prices quoted include Wi-Fi, electricity, heating, wood for wood burner, towels and bedding. Well behaved dogs are welcomed in Begrum cottage, with notice for an additional charge of £20 per stay. Thairn and Mungo's Well cottages are completely pet free. Burnbrae Holidays is 3 miles north of the historical town of Kelso with its many restaurants and independent shops. Burnbrae Holidays ideally located for exploring the beautiful Borders. On site there is a washing machine and tumble drier for guests use. There is a heated drying cupboard in each cottage. Locally there are many excellent examples of culture and history and lots of beautiful gardens and historic properties to visit.
