Are you looking for a destination for loads of fun with your family of all ages? Then look no further. The multi award-winning Blackpool Zoo has it all! Located next to the wonderful Stanley Park, the Zoo is situated in 32 acres of spacious, mature parkland with lakes, waterfalls and traditional English woodland. From Aardvarks to Zebras, all your favourites are here –big cats, giraffes, the north’s only gorillas, orang-utans, penguins, meerkats, wolves, and the UK’s Best Sea Lion Display. There is also a magnificent array of birds of every colour and size! You can learn about these incredible species and many more during our regular talks, feeds and displays.

Accessibility

Blackpool Zoo prides itself on being accessible for all. The park is level and fully accessible for our visitors with disabilities and all of our enclosures have multi-level viewing. Facilities include disabled toilets in every toilet block, a medical room with changing bed for more personal care, free wheelchair hire, low counters, well lit areas, areas of space around the zoo with peace and quiet.

Awards List

Recent awards include Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award, Visit Lancashire's Visitor Attraction Award , The BIBA's Leisure Business of the Year, Radio Wave's Visitor Attraction & Kids Choice Awards and we have World Host Recognition for Excellent Customer Service . We are members of BIAZA and EAZA.

Toilets

There are four toilet blocks on site for public use, each with disabled facilities. All are signposted, accessible by wheelchair and are equipped for use by visitors with disabilities. Eg: handrails, non-slip flooring, sliding doors etc. Baby changing facilities are available in both male and female toilets throughout the site.

Unfortunately, dogs are currently not allowed into the zoo, but assistance dogs are welcomed and looked after by our office team. They are walked on the lead by our staff and water bowls are provided.
