Venue Description

Big Burns Supper is an 11 day festival of music, theatre, comedy and cabaret in the cosy town of Dumfries, making it the Worlds Biggest Burns Night celebration. With community at our heart, we bring talent from near and far to our stage, creating meaningful experiences for our audiences. We create temporary venues in the South West of Scotland.

Accessibility

We have fully accessible venues on our Festival site, with the occasional Ramp. Our Speigeltent and Container Theatre are full accessible. We have a hearing Loop in use for our Main Programme, however this is not in use for our smaller acoustic acts around the festival site. Our High Tea performances are relaxed, and open one hour before the show to ensure everyone has the best experience possible.

Accessible Performances

Our High Tea performances are relaxed, with the venue opening an hour before each show. Our Ballroom Blitz, ballroom dancing class and evening dance event are relaxed performances. Our Queer Haggis performance is a relaxed performance. Our Monski Mouse's Baby Disco Dance Hall is a relaxed performance.

Staff

Our staff are very approachable and will work hard to ensure you have the best experience possible. Many of our staff have experience with those with Learning Difficulties and low visibility disabilities.

The Dock Park, a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the venue has a large area where dogs can be let off lead.
