Venue Description

The Beck Theatre is part of HQ Theatres, which has 12 venues. We’re based in Hayes in Hillingdon, and have been here since 1977, and have a total capacity of 600. We offer a wide selection of shows, from comedy to tributes to dance to drama. We also produce our own Pantomime and a Summer Project each year. We also have a cinema screen in our auditorium, and we regularly screen films and also host bi-monthly Dementia Friendly Screenings of films. We’re also able to host a lot of events in our Foyer, including dining events, comedy nights, Art Therapy Workshops and Bring Your Own Baby Comedy.

Accessibility

There is a small set of steps as well as a ramp, which leads into the theatre. At the top of the ramp is a set of automatic double doors, but there are also manual doors situated at the top of the steps. In the foyer, you will find our Box Office, which has a hearing loop system. You will also find our café-bar where you can reserve a table for a meal before the show as well as a separate bar that serves drinks when we are open for a show. When entering the auditorium from the ground floor, there are two corridors down either side of the theatre. The first four rows (A, B, C and D) are flat, and the rest of the auditorium tiers up from row E. The elevation is 2 steps for each row. We have wheelchair spaces in the theatre which can only be booked through out Box Office team. To do this, you will need to come in, or give them a call on 020 8561 8371. The spaces are on the end of rows B and C. We also hold seats for those with access requirements, so if you need to sit somewhere with less steps, please get in touch with the team to see if they have anything available. When entering the auditorium from the back, you will have to climb 24 steps to enter the auditorium. You will enter on row P and will then go up or down the steps depending on where you are seated. There is a hearing loop system in the auditorium, which can be used when a hearing aid is turned to the ‘T’ setting.
