Venue Description

Assembly George Square Studios are in our hub in George Square. It hosts six performance spaces including Studio One to Five and Underground, which transforms into a late night bar. The studios also boasts the Studios Bar with a cafe and pool tables and Club Bar.

Accessibility

Studio Three, Four, Five and Underground are all fully accessible. Studio Three can be accessed via a lift entrance through the Glass Box at the corner of George Square. This lift also takes audiences down to the level of the Studio Bar, Studio Four and Five and Underground. There is level access into this bottom level via Windmill Lane off of Buccleuch Place. Studio One and Two are only accessible via 15 steps.

Accessible Performances

We are currently in the process of programming shows for Assembly Festival 2018, but we hope to offer a variety of BSL Signed Performances and Relaxed Performances, which will be confirmed closer to the time of the Festival. The accessible toilet is located on the bottom floor of the venue near to the Studio Bar,
