Fell Foot Country Park, Windermere, LA12 8NN, United Kingdom | 01539310041 | WebsiteVenue Description
Join us for adventures in the outdoors that are inclusive by default, progressive and potentially the start of a lifetime connection with an adventure sport. We are a husband and wife team with a huge amount of experience in the disability adventure market. From this venue, we offer a variety of watersports including Sailing, Canoeing and Powerboating. We believe adventure should be about friendship, finding solutions and overcoming challenges. With patience, a sense of humour and comradery, we can make the next thing you book brilliant. We aim to provide the widest range of opportunities to individuals, families and friends for whom access to the awesome world of adventure is often restricted. Our offering is based on working with small numbers, versatile equipment, specialist knowledge, and most importantly, plenty of time, flexibility and understanding of people's varying needs. We have a range of typical ability equipment and adaptive equipment to suit a wide range of physical, sensory and cognitive needs. The events listed are our open weekends, which make it affordable for individuals and groups of 2 to book our activities and for those wanting a more social experience. We love taking groups out privately and tailoring the day or days, specifically to your group's needs and aspirations. If there are 3 or more in your group this is often a cost-effective way to book and allows you to chose exactly what you would like from the day.Accessibility
There is a changing place on-site and a large accessible toilet/shower. The cafe has wide aisles and level access, and the pathways around the site are also wheelchair accessible. We operate Canoeing and Adaptive Sailing from here. To help people in and out of boats we have a transfer step, a mobile hoist and manual transfer slings of varying sizes. The site has 2 mountain trike offroad wheelchairs available for loan We also have a wheelchair-accessible powerboat, for anyone that would like to experience being on the lake but would prefer to stay in their chair.
