Anglers is a 64 hectare country park four miles south - east of Wakefield. It is known for migratory birds, and the site consists of a lake, surrounded by grassland, woodland, and a wetland area. It has an accessible visitor centre and has an informative display about Squire Waterton who created the first nature reserve on his estate in the nineteenth century.
