Overview
This visit was to see the UNTITLED F*CK M*SS S**GON PLAY. It was a pretty stressful experience, the capacity of the theatre is deceptively large but the front of house areas aren't really big enough to accommodate that many people.
Transport & Parking
Parking is rather tricky, although there is some street parking in the vicinity.
Access
There is step free access to the stalls. The foyer before the show was incredibly crowded and loud, with very little organisation and I found this extremely overwhelming. Front of house staff were shouting instructions to try and be heard, which was uncomfortable. There was a large sign stating no readmittance so I clarified if this would apply if someone needed to step out for access reasons. I was told that I could re-enter but not to my original seat. I explained that this was not going to work because then I would not be in a seat that met my access needs, and I would be separated from my carer. The staff tried to call their manager and we waited at the side for a while when I got really overwhelmed being in the foyer and said I needed to go to my seat. I gave them my seat number and was told someone would come and talk to me but I never heard anything further. Luckily I did not need to leave mid show and did not have to find out what would happen.
Toilets
There was only one accessible bathroom and there was a large queue for it before, at the interval, and after the show.
Staff
The theatre was really badly organised and a rather overwhelming place to be, the staff added to this by failing to provide any from of crowd control, and shouting to be heard over the noise. I tried to ask some important questions and got passed from staff member to staff member, until the show was starting and I never got the answers I needed.
