Overview
Step-free throughout, and a wheelchair space easily bookable.
Transport & Parking
I don't know about parking, but Southwark Station (Jubilee Line) is a few yards away and is fully step-free.
Access
The theatre is step-free throughout the ground floor and to the stalls seats. There is an agreeable but cramped bar, you will have to do some delicate negotiation to get around all the chairs and tables, but that's a small point.
Toilets
The accessible toilet is good. But the red emergency cord was tied up and hidden well out of reach of anyone who might fall to the floor. Not only tied up: the plastic triangle at its end had been hooked around a water pipe! This is incomprehensibly stupid. These cords should hang freely all the way to the floor so that they can be reached from the floor in an emergency. Four stars lost for this - and for the stack of spare restaurant chairs placed right in front of the accessible toilet. Which bit of 'accessible' do they not understand?
Staff
Lovely helpful staff. With five stars I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt over the red emergency cord in the toilet, but if I could be sure they were the culprits who tied the cord out of reach, I would not be awarding five stars!
