Overview
The Air Museum is wheelchair accessible throughout including wide single doors. There is an accessible toilet located in the toilet block. There is an onsite restaurant which is accessible also- serving some lovely food!!
Transport & Parking
When entering the museum in the car there is a hut where you make payments for all of your entries. The staff at this hut are very friendly and helpful and point you in the right direction of parking. There are disables parking bays located at the very front of the car park.
Access
When paying for entries we were provided with a map of the museum, this was extremely helpful when navigating our way around, there was also signposts around the museum. The museum was very flat- we came across no steps, the floors where smooth meaning a wheelchair would face no problems when moving around the museum. There was also plenty of seating around the museum so if a rest was needed this was defiantly possible. Information signs were very informative in a large simple font which was very easily read. The only downfall to the accessibility of the museum was that the doors, although wide enough for wheelchairs, were not automatic and would need manually opening.
Toilets
Fully accessible toilets in the toilet block. Toilet blocks very clean and well maintained.
Staff
The staff were very helpful when checking us into the museum in the car, they guided us to the most suitable car parking space. Staff were polite in passing and easily recognisable in blue shirts if we did need any assistance.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
