Overview

Very spacious area within the cathedral no problems manoeuvring unless its a peak time and very busy. But there is lots of room for wheelchairs. Absolutely beautiful building worth taking time about to admire the architecture. Tour guide is also available to show you around and to provide you with any assistance you many need, just need ask. Only negative is there is no wheelchair access to individuals wanting to get to the top of the minster to look over the city.

Important to keep in mind York central is very busy, there is no car parking or bus stops right outside though it is still an option. Disabled parking are a 5 min walk and if you're coming from the train station is a very easy to find about a 5 min walk!

Plenty of signs available. The steps to the entrance also include a ramp next to it! Lots of staff located in the area to help too.

Disabled toilets were available, including a hand rail and space to maneuvering a wheel chair.

I would definitely visit again its a beautiful building with a lot of history, great day out for anyone really.
