Relaxed Opening
Between 9:30am and 11:30am, the York Castle Museum's sound and smell effects will be turned off, the gallery lights will be turned up, and visual image displays (e.g. televisions) will either be turned off or clearly signposted. The aim is to make the museum more accessibility friendly, particularly to people with autism; however, this event will benefit anyone who likes a quieter and brighter environment.
