Overview

Gorgeous little restaurant with lovely staff. My dad and I visited on Christmas day for their special Christmas menu (I was excited so already had my choice ready!). I managed to get parked as close to the door as possible which was great, there is a big step up to the front door, but a portable ramp had been put down for another guest so I used it. The staff did say if I mentioned when booking they'd make sure it was there. The dining areas are a little snug but they had made a special space for the lady in a wheelchair. As I was on my crutches I fine and there was plenty room at my table. My visit to the ladies was a bit eventful as there was a mahoosive (it is a word!) step up to the toilets. I had to get my dad's help only to discover when returning to my table that there was another portable ramp I could have asked for (only found out as the lady in a wheelchair needed it). The toilet isn't wheelchair accessible at all hence the star off. The lovely food made up for the lack of accessibility, I even ate prunes and enjoyed them!

Transport & Parking

There is a large carpark. However it is a funny shape, no marked out bays, if they are busy you could get a little stuck. I definitely recommend reversing into a space if you can.

Access

Had the ramp not been out for another customer the step would have been awkward for me to get up. There was no signage to say to ring for help or that there was a ramp. The access to the toilets again no signage to say there were options and when I asked if that was only toilets the waitress never thought to ask if I was having trouble she just yes.

Toilets

Disappointing. The toilet was lovely and clean, but very little thought had been put in to disabled access. A handrail had been put on the wall but it was so far from the toilet you'd have no chance in reaching it. No red cord and the toilet was just of standard height. Lighting was very dark, I'm sure it was atmospheric, but could be hard for any one with sight issues.

Staff

The staff were lovely and so helpful.
