A lovely way to spend an hour on a summers evening

Overview
We went to meet a group of Alpaca with their owner Tom. We learnt about these lovely creatures and then had the pleasure of taking them for a walk round the meadow. Its an unusual activity but as a group of 4 adults ( one disabled) and 2 small boys the whole thing was quite magical.
Transport & Parking
The Alpacas are at Centre Paws a dog friendly place with a cafe, toilets, camping, dog walks, dog agility and other dog related services. There is a large car park with a relatively level surface. No disabled places marked but I have never seen the car park full. You can also, if needed actually park right by the cafe if you ask.
Access
Disabled access isn't perfect but most things are accessible and doable. I used a mobility scooter and can access the cafe but its not too big so if you can do a few steps its easier to leave your scooter outside. You can get wheelchairs in though . The cafe staff are lovely and helpful so just ask if you need help. The toilets are accessible although I didn't use them They are clean and well serviced.

Staff
The staff are all top notch. Nothing is too much trouble. Tom, who showed us the alpaca gave a fun informative talk which was detailed enough for the adults and not too detailed for the small boys ( aged 6 and 8) . It was all very safe and he explained the do's and don't at the beginning.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I didn't walk the alpaca because the ground in the meadow is a little bumpy but a wheel chair could be pushed across. Tom kindly left as a flask of tea which was very welcome. You can watch the walk going on even if you don't walk round . Each child walked with an adult but each alpaca had 2 lead ropes so they felt like they really were walking them. Tom was very patient with all our questions and we enjoyed the whole thing. I think we were there about an hour in total and we will definitely go back.
