Overview

My husband pushing a trolley & me in my powerchair was asked three times by different members of staff in the garden centre if we wanted assistance even if it was to look at the plants properly. When we got to the checkout we was asked again.

Transport & Parking

Parking can be hit & miss. We tend to go midweek. Luckily if we cannot use a disabled space we can park on an end so I can easily get out of our WAV. There is a local bus stop out side on the main road but how accessible it is to villages around I cannot comment. The garden centre is in a rural village.

Access

The garden centre has good access but there is a steep slope inside before you get to the cafe/restaurant. However the whole site is on ground level There is plenty of room between deisplys & if a person needed assistance there are many staff members around & about.

Toilets

I haven’t frequented the toilets so I cannot make a comment on them.

Staff

All staff are friendly & attentive. If one cannot answer a question they will find the person who can. Never be afraid to ask as they will have the answer.

I might be biased as it’s our local garden centre but every time we go we are asked. Compared to other Wyevale Garden centres in Northampton Poddington is smaller but has a good range of products. On the inside there are indoor plants, al gardening accessories including bird tables, feed etc. We often go just to look for gifts. They have a good range of children’s toys, books, candles, & other gift paraphernalia. If you want a couple of hours out just to browse & have a coffee or even food. The afternoon Tea is very good! I guarantee you will return home with something from the garden centre as we always do!
