Overview
A large garden centre with clothes stores and café. Accessibility away from the main aisles very limited especially if you use a wheelchair or scooter.
Transport & Parking
Good parking, quite a number of disabled parking spaces.
Access
Access to the building is good, dropped kerbs from the carpark, wide entrance doors. Once inside the main aisles are spacious and looks promising, however if you want to purchase clothes or shoes, its almost impossible to get around between the clothes and shoes. They are so closely packed and no room to turn a chair or scooter around. The changing rooms for some of the clothing areas are tiny, you could not take a chair / scooter/ carer in with you and no seats. Around the store other than the garden furniture which is for sale there is no other seating. I didn't take my scooter as I was on crutches but had to use one of the wheelchairs provided which is good but their condition is poor, broken parts, none working brakes! There is a lift to the upper floor but again accessibility around the clothes too difficult. The café has some areas that could be accessed but the actual counter is high and difficult to reach.
Toilets
Staff
Some staff offered assistance in their own areas to fetch and carry clothes / shoes to you but without an accessible changing room near to each individual store ( as you have to pay at each store within the shop) this had limited value.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The garden section is more accessible and if its plants and flowers you want, then this venue is ok. I would avoid if you want to try clothes or shoes before you buy. Don't rely on using their wheelchairs.
