Overview
It is clear that access is a high priority for this state of the art bird sanctuary near comber, about 15 miles away from Belfast. Mostly geared for getting kids interested in wildlife but the cafe isn't bad with beautiful views looking over Strangford Lough, Scrabo Tower and of course the stars of the place - the birds!
Transport & Parking
I walked from a nearby house, the roads are very narrow and widey, you are taking your own life in your hands. Public transport is non existent. But there is a large car park available.
Access
The place is pretty much accessible with ramps everywhere and the paths around the sanctuary are flat and wide.

Staff
Very cheerful and helpful- communicated well.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It was a really cold day and the cafe was great for warming us up. Try Northern Ireland's specialty 'fifteens' a recipe of 15 degestives, mashmallows and Cherry's! And of course you are always amazed by the markings and colours of the birds.
