Overview
Woodcocks is part of the martsons chain of pubs . We have stayed in these before. The hotel part is a separate building from the pub . This one was set near the canal on the outskirts of Lincoln. The room we had for our two night stay was excellent plenty of room to get about in the wheelchair, it had a walk in shower plenty of grab rails and shower seat. The accessible room is on the ground floor. The hotel part is only a short walk from the pub where we had dinner on our first night and breakfast each day, all the meals were good, and there was quite a good choice on the menu for evening meals . They were fully able to cater for my allergies , we had a suitable table which was easy for me to access in my wheelchair. Staff were very friendly and helpful .
Transport & Parking
They have a large car park which had a lot of blue badge parking spaces near to the hotel entrance . The car park is completely tarmac which meant it was easy for a wheelchair user.
Access
Access to both the hotel and pub was very good , the hotel had a slight slope up into the entrance , to enter this part you had to use your room key and then the doors opened automatically. Entry to the pub is all level and there was plenty of space to get around in my wheelchair
Toilets
Staff
The waitress who dealt with us at both dinner and breakfast was helpful and chatty . She double checked about ingredients and how things were cooked for me due to my dietary requirements. Nothing was too much trouble . We would stay here again if in the area.
