Overview
This was our second visit to this lovely place to eat. It is set in the quiet village of Croydon, near Royston, Hertfordshire. The delicious food was served by welcoming and friendly staff.
Transport & Parking
We visited lunchtime mid-week. There was plenty of space to park in the carpark, which has a gravel surface and unmarked bays.
Access
Short slope with slight gradient to manual front door, although the carpark is gravel and there is a slight lip to the bottom of the ramp, no more than half an inch. Inside there is level access throughout. The physical menu is done in fairly small print and the effect behind may make parts difficult for some people to read. There was piped background music. The lighting inside in the middle of the day when we visited was good.
Toilets
The signage for all the toilets was very clear. There is one toilet marked as an accessible toilet with a drop down rail on one side. There is a red cord next to this loo, the cord hangs low but does not go all the way down to the ground. There is a baby changing facility in this cubicle. There are three standard loos as well. All spotlessly clean.
Staff
The staff were very friendly. They brought a free large jug of water with ice, lemon, and cucumber in it when they asked what other drinks people would like.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There is a terrace outside with tables and chairs with a bowl for dogs to drink from. Assistance dogs only inside.
