Overview

This venue is on the busy A725 through Coatbridge you are able to enter via the front door on Whifflet St or via the Beer Garden at the rear of the building. The venue is split in two areas the main bar area and the restaurant area they are in separated by a wall with large windows and a door that is a good width. The seating area is mainly made up of tables that can move to get more space in the area or for larger groups of people.

Transport & Parking

3

There is a larger car park to the rear of this venue this is off the side road next to the venue. There are only 2 Blue badge spaces in this car park these are next to the exit. The car park is however large and there was lots of space available

Access

0.5

From the car park you can enter via the Beer garden to the rear of the venue. The venue is clearly marked from the car par you take the path towards the beer garden this is made up of paving slabs and is on a slope down to the beer garden. The slope is steep and could be slippery when it is icy Once through the beer garden you go in the back door and turn left and go through another door in to the bar area. This is not suitable for many wheelchairs because it is not wide enough.

Toilets

0

Sadly there is no accessible toilet in this venue for wheelchairs users the gents toilet is next to the rear door to the beer garden and the ladies toilet is of the restaurant area. Again the door in to the toilets are not very wide and not suitable for a wheelchair or anyone who needs grip rails etc. in a toilet Even just with two arm crutches I found it difficult to use the toilets

Staff

5

The staff are great and there was no rush to make you order your meal or when they came with your bill at the end of your meal.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

It is sad that this venue does not have full disability access or have a disabled toilet in place. As the food that is served is good and is also good value for money as well. There were two large television screen that were showing horse racing that was taking place.
