Overview
Fabulous beach , nice caf and access to the North Norfolk Coastal Path
Transport & Parking
There is parking above the beach but not tarmaced. Overflow parking is on grass. It’s not particularly level but I had no problems with my mobility scooter. Cost is £3 per vehicle for the day.
Access
There is a very steep slope to the beach. My scooter handled it well . You can’t get right down onto the sand but there is a compacted slope which will get you almost there.
Toilets
No disabled toilet and there is a step at the entrance. However the toilets were very clean and well kept. The toilets are half way down the slope to the beach and you can get right up to the one step before entering the toilets.
Staff
The staff in the cafe ( really lovely cafe , reasonable priced ( don’t miss the best bacon sandwiches !!) are very nice and helpful. The cafe sells buckets and spades, ice cream and food.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
You can sit outside the cafe ( which is probably wheelchair accessible although a little tricky) and enjoy the view. As you come out of car park , cross the road to the beach and you can take the Coastal Path towards Cromer. It’s accessible by scooter as far as I went . If you head the other way towards Sheringham, park on the grass, this will let you avoid the steps at the start of the Coastal Path.
