Overview
I really enjoy walking through West Princes Street Gardens! The paths are wide and smooth and you can avoid the steep hills into the garden by entering via King's Stables Road. In the summer months they have deck chairs dotted around on the grass.
Transport & Parking
Lots of wheelchair accessible buses pass by the gardens, although if you're looking for the most level access entrance, get a bus to Lothian Road and enter the garden via King's Stables Road. There is a multi-storey car park right beside the King's Stables Road entrance and lots of on street parking too.
Access
The paths are very smooth and wide, and there are countless benches all around the gardens. The paths do get very steep as the edges of the garden stretch up to reach Princes Street above, but these can be easily avoided. There is a nice cafe in the garden too. With the exception of the odd train passing by, the gardens feel much more quiet and tranquil than East Princes Street Gardens.
Toilets
There are toilets in the gardens but I've never used these.

Anything else you wish to tell us?
You get amazing views of the castle! Look out for Bum The Dog, Greyfriars Bobby's 'unofficial brother' by the entrance at King's Stables Road.
