Overview
The main gardens have good access. The first impression wasn't good as the entrance via the gift shop is extremely tight for a wheelchair. However once through its good. We attempted the woodland areas which were difficult in some areas and in fact we ultimately had to turn back. Overall though it was a good visit.
Transport & Parking
There weren't many disabled spaces and they weren't well sign posted. Most are right by the main entrance and not easy to see from the main car park.
Access
I've given this rating based on the main areas of the gardens and taking into account the gift shop (very narrow, over crowded with items for sale in the main thoroughfare, a dogleg to get out the other end) and the restaurant (grossly overcrowded so that I couldn't wheel through without colliding with tables).. We went through the wooded areas but these became steep at the end and we came to a kissing gate I couldn't get through so had to turn back. The map provided should have shown gradients and accessible paths more clearly. Main gardens were easy to negotiate and were a delight. Most paths were firm. There was a bit of grass to negotiate near the pergola.
Toilets
The disabled loo I visited was marked on the map, clearly signposted and reasonably equipped.
