Overview
Easy access at the beginning of this 1.59 mile walk. Leaving the Water of Leith Walkway to get to the bus stop at Currie involves a short section of moderately steep path, some narrow pavement and a steepish push up from Currie bridge to the main road, but if this not particularly fit 64 year-old accompanist can manage it, most people can. These sections might be too much for someone self-propelling in a manual wheelchair.
Transport & Parking
Can't comment on the parking. Lothian Buses 44 and 44A will get you from the city centre to Balerno High School, very close to where the walk begins, and then back from Currie to the city centre. It's a frequent service.
Access
For almost all of the 1.59 miles the gradients are gentle, and the surface (beaten earth and gravel) smooth, with just a few stretches where larger stones and tree roots make the going a bit bumpy.
Toilets
No accessible toilets on the route.

Anything else you wish to tell us?
A great walk if you love birdwatching with a pleasing finish amid the cottages of Currie and a glimpse of Currie Kirk.
