Good day out, though not all accessible

Overview
We decided to visit, knowing that Warwick Castle is only partially accessible. When you read the accessibility guide, it seems that hardly anything is wheelchair accessible but we found plenty to do for the day and we had a really enjoyable day out.
Transport & Parking
We arrived by motorhome and headed for Stratford Rd Coach Parking. When the parking attendance saw our blue badge, he directed us a little higher up, nearer to the accessible parking, which worked well for us. There looks to be plenty of accessible parking but the spaces are diagonal and quite close together. It's just a short walk up the hill from there to the entrance.
Access
Wheelchair accessibility is pretty black and white. The bits that are accessible are great! There are several areas though with steps. The main entrance is good and there are signed routes showing the easiest way in. There is a lift on the outside of the castle to get you in and the staff were really helpful. The ground floor of the castle was good except for one narrow section of corridor where I had to stand and hubby lifted my chair over a skirting board. The paths around the site are great! All tarmac, no gravel! There are some hills... one or two quite steep, as you would expect from a site like this. The gardens were lovely and the conservatory cafe was good (though not cheap!)
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet at the entrance but it is quite small and outside is a mat, which kept getting trapped under the door, making it difficult to get in and out. There is a changing places but I didn't go in there.
Staff
Everyone we spoke to was fantastic! They were helpful, friendly, cheerful and made it a lovely day out.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There is one large horse which is ridden around the grounds. Also, there are several peacocks roaming.
