Overview
Having paid before seeing the terrain , my pusher struggled even with my help to enter the grounds across the gravel and grass,, only to find steps and rocks everywhere. I was abandoned on the grass, while my pusher went to explore. 30 minutes later i struggled back to the car, under my own steam, because i was cold. National heretage need to be honest, i am used to not seeing everything and i dont expect the world, or even a ramp everywhere, but charging wheelchair users full price to sit in the entrance, and not warning them its totally wheelchair unfriendly is a bit much.
Transport & Parking
I travelled by car. The carpark was gravel with a couple blue badge places, near to the entrance . Not too bad
Access
Wheelchairs could get into the castle but dont expect to get very far once in. If your able to walk, you will probably have a good time.
Toilets
I didnt use the loo
Staff
The staff were Friendly enough but said i wouldn't be able to get upstairs, they didn't mention grounds were impossible too, without super powers. I was given an audio player but when you cant see what they are talking about in the description, its a bit pointless .
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Im not in any hurry to go back, and i will do better research, before hand in future, I have always been a wheelchair user, and i am normally very patient with limitations of venues, but this tested me.
