Overview
Still tricky to get onto but much cleaner and more dog-friendly than ever!
Transport & Parking
Wardie Bay is on one of North Edinburgh's main roads, there is a bus stop right by the entrance to the beach, no parking space nearby that I'm aware of.
Access
Access to the beach is as simple as a beach could realistically be; there are no steps from 'street-to-sand', though the ground is understandably a tad uneven. With a little care, my mother and her guide dog negotiated the terrain and we were on the beach. A wheelchair user would likely be able to access the beach but it would be better to take someone to provide some assistance.
Toilets
The nearest toilets are at the Asda in Leith, a mere 1.5 miles away.

And they've really gone to town with this beach lately. Much, much cleaner. Worth taking a walk along the breakwater there. Could be a tad tricky as there are some uneven sections but when I was there the other day one brave guy had managed to get to the end in a mobility scooter.

As of, Feb 2015, there has been some more cleaning of the beach!

There seems to be a rogue picture of Thomas the Tank Engine in this review!
