Overview
I wished to book 2 seats for a one off screening of a theatre production on Monday 20th May in Inverness VUE cinema. It the story of Nye Bevan the Founder of our treasured NHS. It was going to be screened live from Wales. I eventually managed to phone an assistant (probably covering all Vue cinemas) She told me there were no wheelchair spaces at all for that particular screening in that part of the cinema. Not that they been taken already - but that they didn't exist. I realised it wasn't her fault but explained that the cinema had effectively stopped disabled people from attending a play which had great relevance to many of us who rely on the NHS. I added that I live in Edinburgh so have a choice of cinemas and in future will NOT be giving Vue my business (I much prefer ODEON at Wester Hailes anyway. Lesson learned and rant over! Any comments?
