Overview
I first visited VIM with my husband and we have now both signed-up to the monthly gym membership. The gym is a welcoming space and not like any I've been in before, it's not at all over crowded or intimidating. I felt confident carrying out the exercise plan they created for me, even if it was hard to begin with. Everyone we met made us feel at home and went above and beyond to help us. I have revisited the gym two more times since my initial assessment and intend to make it a weekly thing now - Julie King
Transport & Parking
My husband drives me to the centre and there are three clearly marked disabled bays right in front.
Access
The site is split into two: downstairs is the Neuro Rehabilitation centre, equipped with upper and lower limb robotics. The gym is located upstairs which is accessed by a lift.
Toilets
The disabled toilets and changing area are beautiful (and I never thought that would be something that caught my eye). They are spacious, with grab rails, lockers and room for a carer to assist.
Staff
Staff were all incredibly friendly, everyone introduced themselves. I was given an initial assessment by physiotherapist Maria, who I now also see for a weekly 1:1 pilates session.
