Overview
Vikingar is my local lesuire centre. There are swimming and gym facilities available I have recently been attending a low circuit fitness class which is mostly seated. Staff are very helpful and will work with you on a fitness programme that suits your needs There are accessible changing rooms and the pool can be accessed using a hoist.
Transport & Parking
Vikingar can be accessed using car bus or train. I have used the car and the train The train station is a fair distance to walk but there are disabled parking spaces at the front of the centre.
Access
There is a ramp at the front entrance with automatic door to enter at the side. There is also a lift up to the gym . There is a ramp also leading to the community theatre on the ground floor There is an area for wheelchair seating set aside but the view can sometimes be restricted.
Toilets
Toilets are in main reception area and upstairs beside the gym. Both have handrails and are quite small inside. They are manageable with assistance. Both toilets seats are quite low down to the ground. Both have red cords
Staff
Staff are generally very helpful
