Overview
I had contacted the pub by email before visiting to check on access for a wheelchair user and ow flexible the menu was as I have food intolerances due to my medication. They were extremely helpful and replied straight away, explaining how accessible the pub was and that as long as I gave them notice with regard my intolerances they would be able to alter or cook me something suitable. The chef had said it would be no problem at all. We were staying in Cromer for a weeks holiday and were meeting up with friends for a meal who were also staying in the area. I had found this pub hole searching on Google. I must say I was very impressed at how helpful and accommodating they were. There is a good choice of food on the menu to suit all tastes and budgets . The pub is in a small Norfolk village and has a cosy atmosphere there is plenty of parking front and side but we had been advised to park at the side in the blue badge space as they is right next to the path that leads to the side entrance . There is a slight slope up into the entrance then along the corridor to the main part of the pub. We had a nice table in one of the rooms off the main pub area. The table was easy for me to access despite the pub being busy. Our meal was excellent i can’t fault it in anyway . The staff were so kind and helpful . In fact we were so impressed we made a return visit for dinner another day. And when I phoned to book the table . I said we had been earlier in the week and he said would you like the same table again , he had remembered us. We will most certainly be going back when we are next in the area .
Transport & Parking
We drove here from Cromer . We had been told to park at the side where the blue badge space was as this is right next to the path that leads to both the garden and side entrance which had a very slight slop up to the entrance. It was then down a corridor to get to the main part of the pub .
Access
Access was good just along the path to the entrance and then down a corridor, no steps etc . We had been allotted a table in one of the rooms off the main pub area which again was easy to access it’s enough space for me in my wheelchair,
Toilets
These were not used so unable to comment on them
Staff
The staff were extremely helpful and were more than happy to assist. The chef was more than happy to adjust meals to cater for my intolerances and also provided information on the ingredients used should I have decided to eat from the menu, we really can’t fault them at all, we were so impressed by the service and food we had that we made a return visit later in the week with our aunt and uncle who live in the area.
