Overview
On arrival at the castle with a fractured ankle, i had to walk or say limp on crutches down hill to the information and ticket point desperate for a toilet, to be met by a Scottish lady to be told that the cafe and toilets could only be used by prople who bought a ticket to see the castle, the tickets being £12 per person. It was obvious to her i was never going to be able to walk around the castle, so basically its £12 for wee pee? I was disgusted at their hospitality on being told if i needed a toilet there was one two miles up the road where we had just passed. I decided to carry on and found a lovely pub further on whos hospitality was wonderful, needless to say we pressed on to Eilean Doran castle instead which was more beautiful, toilets and cafe are free and viewing the castle only £10. Shame on the staff that fail to help their custoners at Urquhart castle.
