Transport & Parking
There are disabled parking bays available outside the entrance which are spacious and have good access to an entrance ramp.
Access
Upon entering the building there are automatic disabled doors which can be operated by using the button which can be found on the left. There is a ramp up to the entrance with rails on either side for extra support. When entering the building on the right is reception, where 2 double doors are, these can be opened with the disabled access button. The changing rooms are spacious and are located behind the door. This changing rooms provides a hoist and chair, changing table that can be adjusted and provide rails if needed.
Toilets
The disabled toilet can be located to the left of reception. It is easily accessible and well signposted, with a blue disabled image on the door, and is unisex. There are hand rails in the toilet for extra support and sufficient room for carers to help and assist. An emergency pull cord was available if required. The toilet facilities were cleaned to an acceptable standard, although the floor was wet at the time of my visit.
Staff
The staff are very helpful and are happy to assist with any queries. If they are unsure of a query they were able to get hold of the manager who is happy to help, and answer any questions.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The changing room is very basic and there is only 1 disabled changing room, there is a plastic chair available for the hoist, I would be mindful that the floor may be wet, and the chair is very unreliable. The showers are spacious and easily accessible from the changing rooms on the way from the pool.
