Overview
Lovely zoo went with my mom and best friend, hired a wheelchair from them to make it easier for me to enjoy because of my hypermobility causing pain when I walk, the zoo has hardly any pathed paths their all gravel, and I knew this but thought oh it’ll be fine, you will skid. My mom doesn’t like pushing me since she has arthritis in her back, and my best mate can’t push my weight. So normally it’s me who wheels myself but my mom had to hurt her back by helping push me. Honestly I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user so I could get out and walk when needed but the wheelchair just became a hindrance because I couldn’t wheel myself, there is also way too many people down narrow alley ways for you to enjoy it, honestly wheelchair users be wary
Transport & Parking
Access
Signage was good, minimal steps, the animal enclosures had low windows so good for wheelchair users but the windows were tinted so maybe not for visually impaired, lots of seating, gravel paths hard to wheel a chair through
Toilets
Had to share with the baby change meaning I had to wait ages to go
