Overview
We had dinner here on a Friday evening and stayed overnight in our motorhome, as they offer free stopovers for customers. The food was absolutely excellent! So tasty! The staff were friendly and polite, especially the manager. Wheelchair access was pretty good, apart from a large lip on the entry door.
Transport & Parking
We arrived by motorhome and the Turnpike is just minutes off the M62, so great if you prefer a proper meal to a service station. They have a large lower car park, which is tarmac, and then an upper car park for motorhomes, which is gravel/grit. There are a couple of accessible spaces right near the restaurant.
Access
There is a paved ramp from the car park up to the restaurant. It's not steep but is paving slabs so not 100% even. There is then a large double door with a bit of a lip. Once inside, everything is smooth and level. There is plenty of space to move around.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet, which was pretty good, clean, well stocked, etc.
Staff
The staff were lovely. The waiter was a young man who seemed a little shy but was very attentive and polite. The manager was more outgoing, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He was also really helpful around allergy information.
