Overview
if you are autistic and/or learning disabled and need hospital care/surgery I recommend Trafford general hospital. When I told them I was autistic, All the staff were absolutely lovely to me. They made sure I had my own private room so it was quieter and was the first person to have surgery to reduce anxiety from waiting. They explained everything in easy to understand language, let my mum stay with me. I like Trafford general hospital because it is much smaller and friendly compared to other hospitals in Manchester. It’s also got an interesting history which is great for someone whose special interest is history.
Transport & Parking
Theres a bus stop right outside thcc dc hospital. There’s also a car park but only free for a certain amount of time. There’s a taxi drop off space right outside hospital.

Good signage, step free access, lifts, disabled toilets, spacious for wheelchair users. Staff take learning disabilities and autism seriously
Toilets
