Overview
The Square is a wide open space with statues, fountains, Nelson's Column, a cafe and toilets. It is easy to access from the Southern side where there is level access. Steps on the North side lead up to the National Gallery.
Transport & Parking
Accessible London Buses pass on two sides of the square.
Access
Disabled access is good from the Southern approach and there are plenty of seats to take a welcome break. An accessible toilet is available on the North side of the square.
Toilets
The toilets to the North side of the square have standard male and female sections as well as a dedicated accessible toilet. The toilet staff will open the door for you. It is a clean, fairly spacious and modern in design. Its level access from the square.
Staff
The square itself does not have staff. The toilet and cafe staff were helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
A good space to stop for a while if you want a rest from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. Occasionally the square plays host to various events.
