Overview
I used the station twice. On both instances I required special assistance. It was an improvement on previous experiences.
Transport & Parking
Buses stop close by on the sea front.
Access
Both platforms have step free entrances from the road. However, connecting the two platforms is a pedestrianised railway bridge with no lift. To cross over to the opposite platform step free involves exiting the station and following the street to the other entrance. There are plenty of bench seating with back support on the platform.
Toilets
They have an accessible toilet but I did not use it.
Staff
On the way out, the ticket office was closed after 6pm and my train arriving just after meant that I had to rely on on board train station to help me off the train. this was excellent and they checked and introduced themselves when I boarded. On my return journey there were 2 members of station staff that assisted me. They had to get the ramp out for me as the gap between platform and train is rather high. Very helpful and supportive service. Thank you all.
