Loving Topshop in Edinburgh
Visit date:
Overview
This is a large shop spread over three floors. Access is generally good, although the shop floor is a little bit crowded, especially when there is a sale on!
Transport & Parking
This Topshop is a stone's throw away from Waverley Station, it's great. It's also really close to Tram stops and bus stops, not to mention several taxi ramps.
Access
There are two main entrances to this store, one has a few steps down into the shop, the second (next door to H&M) has a ramped entrance (although the doors are not automatic and can be a little heavy). Inside is a little crowded with clothes and accessories at every turn, so it is more enjoyable at quiet times. There is a lift in the centre of the store to the basement level and upstairs to Topman. There are staircases and also escalators, so plenty of choice to move around! The queueing areas are a little tight however. There is an accessible changing room in the basement with a red cord card (a little tangled) and clothes hooks at a lowered height. There is also a seat and grab rail in here. The personal shopping room doesn't have step-free access however which is a bit of a shame!
Toilets
I didn't see any toilets during my visit.
Staff
Staff are friendly, particularly if you opt for personal shopping.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This shop's layout changes all the time, so always expect the unexpected! Generally good for access, but best at quiet times as the shop floor is crowded.
