Overview
The hotel is located near a beach (5-10) minute walk which is on a straight road which is good because Torquay has a few hills in certain places which may make it difficult for certain people. The hotel itself is wheelchair accessible with ramps and lifts to access the complex. The restaurant in the hotel is disable friendly as the staff accommodate for needs. A table can be requested near the buffet. The food is very nice with multiple choices and if none are of required taste the chef cooks up something specific! There are lots of activities and entertainment from bingo to karaoke, performances, arcades, swimming pools, different fitness classes and much more. It would make for a good holiday for any age!
Transport & Parking
The car park is right outside the hotels doors and around the side. You can reserve a parking space to be closer to the main doors. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and across the road so very close.
Access
The hotel had lifts and ramps to access parts of the hotel and outside of the hotel is rather flat with a slight down hill, making it accessible for those in a wheelchair. There are chairs around the hotel and lounges to relax in with little shops dotted around.
Toilets
There is a disabled toilet right by the reception. The toilet is large and easy to manoeuvre with enough space for a carer.
Staff
The staff are very helpful in accommodating for needs. A room on the bottom floor can be given. Recommendation of entertainment and an accessible seat in the restaurant are also available.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I would recommend this for other people who are looking for a week away. Lovely people with great facilities. The hotel is joined with 3 others under the name of TLH resorts. Complex of 4. The other hotels are accessible through each other and their facilities can be used too.
