Overview

This wheelchair accessible shop is set out in such a way as to make it very user-friendly for a wheelchair user. the staff are on hand to ensure that should you wish to examine an item of stock more closely they will bring it to you where there are one or two tighter spots in the shop. the staff are very friendly and engaged in conversation directly with me as well as my carer which set me at ease straight away. I will visit this shop every time I can when on respite at Leuchie house as the varied and wide choice of stock was wonderful, their goods were also very reasonably priced making me believe that I got great value for money.

Transport & Parking

Like any town with shops in the centre of a town, parking is plentiful but it is just your luck on whether you get a space or not we drove around the centre twice and were able to find a disabled parking space within 10 mins. the space was within 3 mins walking of the restaurant we were going to and 5 mins from the shop.

Access

There were no steps into the shop making it easy for me to get in and out, and the layout was superb, there were one or two tighter areas but staff were on hand to get any items should I wish to inspect them further. the pavements in North Berwick are levelish but not the greatest a bit narrow at some points. and with people trying to get past things got busy and may not suit persons of a nervous disposition.

Toilets

The shop did not have a toilet that I am aware of, but there are public amenities within 5 mins walking my carer told me which are signposted.

Staff

The staff were excellent friendly and helpful as well as being most helpful. they engaged in pleasant conversation with me as soon as I entered the shop in my wheelchair. they were not wheelchair blind which is a very distasteful trait that appears to be the norm with me and my wheelchair friends these days. the staff went out of there way to explain any items that I enquired about and took great care, paying attention to ensure that my purchases were protected and beautifully wrapped for me.

I would recommend this shop to anybody looking to purchase one of gifts or extremely good value for money presents for loved ones or friends.
