New disabled access at Tillybods
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Powerchair
Overview
We have been visiting Tillybods for some time now. A wide variety of hot drinks are available and sandwiches are made fresh to order. Gluten free and dairy free options are available. A new wheelchair ramp has been provided meaning wheelchair users can now enter the establishment.
Transport & Parking
We walked as we live close by. Tillybods is in a residential area. There is a bus stop very close by with links to Leeds and Wakefield. There is roadside parking available close by.
Access
There is one step at the front of the business. We have requested a ramp and this is now kept in storage by the front door. The owners are very friendly and will get the ramp out for you. The coffee shop is small but there is enough room to manoeuvre in a reasonably big wheelchair.
Toilets
There is no customer toilet on site. The business is a take away coffee shop.
Staff
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are helpful with dietary requirements. When we asked for a ramp because I couldn't get in, they said that no-one had ever asked for one before, but agreed to provide a ramp soon. It took a few weeks but they kept us updated and we are happy it has been changed.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Masks/face coverings are required in store without exception. If you forget, the staff will ask you to wait outside and take your order from there. Hand sanitiser is provided and there is a large plastic screen between the staff and customers. Customers are limited to two at a time as it is not a large interior space.
