Overview
Thorpe Park has excellent wheelchair access. Most rides have either ramps or lifts for step free access. There are only a few rides that aren’t accessible to wheelchairs users. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always happy to help. Assistance is given to those who struggle with crowds and queuing by way of a ‘Ride access pass’ to give access to a quieter, more accessible queue. Though this must be applied for in advance. Each toilet block has a disabled toilet accessed by a Radar key. There is a Changing Places toilet near the entrance All shops and places to eat are fully wheelchair accessible. There is a Quiet room available which can be accessed by going to First Aid.
Transport & Parking
Good public transport links and a large car park. Lots of disabled parking spaces but they do fill quickly so worth getting there early.
Access
Step free access to most of the rides. This includes ramps and lifts. Only a few are inaccessible to wheelchairs. All shops and eateries are wheelchair accessible. The 4D cinema is also wheelchair accessible. Lots of benches dotted around the park and a new picnic area with sun umbrellas. All toilet blocks also have a disabled toilet accessed by a Radar key.
Toilets
Lots of Radar keyed disabled toilets dotted around the park and a changing places toilet in the upper dome by the entrance. All the disabled toilets can fit a standard wheelchair but some are tighter than others. They are all easy to find and have suitable grab rails, freely hanging red cords and are cleaned regularly.
Staff
Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Guest services are open all day and there to help with any questions or concerns. First aid are also happy to help and provide a quiet room for those who need it. Management are always keen to resolve any issues and are also friendly and welcoming.
