Overview
In Forrest Road Edinburgh, this former opticians retains the classic lines, wall panels and marble tiled floor. If you want a quick lite bite and coffee this is the place, plus its a quiet, serene surrounding. Totally dog and family friendly with loads of space, there was a less formal area through the rear - a student’s retreat ! No Cash, card only !
Transport & Parking
This area of the City is tight for parking spaces especially in Forrest Road, but there are spaces in nearby Chambers Street and Bristo Sqaure, including disabled bays and blue badge. We travelled by bus with being a one way street the bus stop is 30 M on the north bound side. Lothian Buses 2, 23, 27, 41, 42, 45 as well as all the Edinburgh Tour buses stop there.
Access
Very large, bright, spacious and a marble floor ! No steps no alternative formats for their menus non on the tables as they are very much grab and go, the staff did read out what was available. Very accessible.
Toilets
Excellent, first class, large spacious with grab rails, amenities all at a lower height, red cord, clean and refreshed regularly. It was also a baby changing facility. A well provided accessible toilet.
Staff
Entry through a large front door, large spacious area, order at the counter though staff brought our order to us. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
